A Soft Landing For Bunnies In Need
Our Mission:
Rescue
At Suffolk Bunny Sanctuary, we open our doors and our hearts to rabbits in need, offering them safe shelter and compassionate care. Whether they are surrendered by owners, sadly abandoned, or found injured and frightened, we provide medical attention, rehabilitation, and loving support until they are ready for a forever home.
.
Rehabilitate
Every bunny who arrives receives veterinary care, gentle rehabilitation and a calm, secure space to recover. Our dedicated team provide species-appropriate diets, enrichment and socialisation, helping shy or traumatised rabbits rebuild trust and learn to thrive.
Re-home
We also work to educate adopters about proper rabbit care and housing, ensuring every rehoming is a responsible, lasting match. For those not ready for adoption, long-term foster and sanctuary options offer a peaceful, permanent home. Through rescue, rehabilitation and community outreach, Suffolk Bunny Sanctuary creates a safer future for rabbits—one soft paw at a time.
Who are we?
Suffolk Bunny Sanctuary is a small, independent, donation-funded rescue based just outside Bury St Edmunds, offering rabbits a safe landing when they need it most. We take in rabbits from all situations — from much-loved pets to those affected by neglect or overbreeding — and give them the time, care, and space to recover. Every rabbit is assessed, properly housed, enriched, and where possible neutered and vaccinated before being thoughtfully matched to the right home — never rushed, never overlooked.
We are proudly welfare-first. That means no hutch-only homes, no rehoming rabbits to live alone, and no intentional breeding — ever. We match people to rabbits, not the other way around, and offer ongoing support long after adoption. We are transparent in what we do, always learning, always evolving, and firmly committed to raising the standard of rabbit care. Because rabbits are not disposable, low-maintenance pets — they are intelligent, social animals who deserve a life, not just survival.
